Odeabank Galatasaray announced today the addition of American guard Russ Smith with a one year deal.
Smith last played for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League. He played collegiately for the Louisville Cardinals, having a starring role as a junior in helping them win the 2013 NCAA championship, while earning third-team All-American by the NABC and the Sporting News. As a senior at Louisville, he was named a consensus first-team All-American.
The 47th pick of the 2014 draft he has played in the NBA for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies. The 25 years old point guard is going to make his Euroleague debut and he will also compete in the Turkish BSL.
