A long-time flirt between Lokomotiv Kuban and Mardy Collins has now progressed into a deal. As the Russian club announced, it has reached a one-year agreement with Collins who is going to become a Krasnodar resident for the upcoming season.
The American swingman comes from a brilliant season with Strasbourg which he led to the Eurocup Finals. He averaged 13 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists in the competition, making the All-Eurocup First team.
While he was quite close to Lokomotiv on January, the president of Strasbourg decided in almost the last minute to not release him, since such a move would seriously weaken his team’s roster.
