Spanish club Morabanc Andorra is very close to completing a highly impressive transfer, by bringing back to Europe Greek small forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo and signing him to a one-year deal.
Greek website SDNA first reported about an offer sent by ACB team to Antetokounmpo. According to Gigantes del Basket, this interest soon turned into an agreement between the two sides.
After being drafted by the New York Knicks in 2014, Antetokounmpo spent most of the previous two years of his career with the Westchester Knicks, the team’s D-League affiliate. He averaged 12.3 point, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in last year’s regular season.
This summer he debuted with the Greek national team, participating in the Olympic Qualifying tournament of Turin. His brother is Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
