Argentina beat Nigeria 94-66 on Sunday in the last Olympic men’s basketball game of the day. In his fourth Olympics debut, Manu Ginobili scored 12 points and helped his team achieve an easy victory.
Facu Campazzo led Argentina with 19 points, while flag bearer Luis Scola scored 18. Patricio Garino finished with 15 in front of crowd filled with flag-waving Argentina fans who sang and chanted for much of the night.
Despite the tight finishes in the first two games of the day, that one wasn’t close in the second half, with Argentina having five players in double figures. Andres Nocioni also contributed in 10 points.
For Nigeria, the only one who was willing to fight in the game was Ike Diogu who scored 15 points.
