Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement on a new, three-year, 100$ million contract, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.
This deal makes “King James” the highest paid player in the NBA for the first time in his career. The previous deal he signed with the Cavs was of two years, $41 million.
31-year James returned to Cleveland on summer 2014, with one sole purpose: Leading the team to the franchise’s first championship title. Something which the Cavs accomplished in the previous season, downing Golden State Warriors 4-3 in the Finals. They became the first team that comes back from a 3-1 deficit in the title series.
Lebron was named Finals MVP, after reaching another individual milestone by becoming the first player to ever record a triple-double in Game 7 of the finals.

Lebron also announced that he is re-signing with the Cavs himself via a video in “UNINTERRUPTED”
