Lithuania remained unbeaten against Argentina

Group B’s derby for the top position ended in Lithuania’s favor, who beat Argentina 81-73 and now remains unbeaten at 3-0.

Jonas Kazlauskas’ team made another crucial step to advance to the next round, while Argentina faces its first loss in the Games. Mindaugas Kuzminskas had an excellent performance and played an important role in his team’s outbreak in the third period. The new member of the New York Knicks finished the game with 23 points.

Lithuania had a 12-3 run and managed to surpass and lead 57-47, though Argentina scored 12 consecutive points and took charge again, 61-59 (33′).

Facu Campazzo made it a 3 point game (74-71, 1’17” left), then Renaldas Seibutis scored a goal foul from Luis Scola (that was the Argentinian’s 5th and got disqualified) with less than a minute left.
