USA is the only team remaining unbeaten and today it will be tested for the last time in the group stages of the basketball tournament in Rio against France.
While the situation in Group B for the final standings remains more than open, in Group A things are more simple. USA, Australia and France have already qualified and Serbia needs to beat China in order to seal its ticket. Only if Venezuela beats Australia by a large margin, there’s a chance for Serbia to miss the quarterfinals after being defeated also by a big margin by China.
France can end up on top of the standings if they beat USA, Australia can also hope for the top, however if USA gets the win in the first game of the day, then the final standings with the Americans on top, the Boomers in second place and France in the third place will be locked.
