Pau Gasol have not yet decided if this will be his last tournament with the Spanish national team, still even if this was the end, it was great.
As he said after the game against Australia: “We had a bad start in the tournament, but the bronze medal is a great achievement. I am proud to be part of this group of friends which never gives up and grows in adversity”.
The new member of the San Antonio Spurs talked about the character of his team: “We had to react after losing in the semifinals, it was a tough, hard fought game and we had to give it all until the end. I am very glad we did it once more. I congratulate Australia because they competed their butts off but unfortunately they didn’t get the win.”
