Tibor Pleiss’ future with the Sixers is questionable, however a return to Europe is not expected soon. The German center is still waiting the decision of Philadelphia, but leaving the States is an other story.
According to sources near the player, even if he is waived, Pleiss will be fully paid for next season ($2,8 m.) and he is not eager to sign with a European team. At this point after all only Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv have front line oppenings, but also an almost complete roster.
The most probable scenario for the German is to stay in the States, even in the NBADL and wait for the right opportunity to arise, either in the NBA or in a top Euroleague team, in which he would have a major role. Of course, the Sixers have not taken their final decision yet and the player hopes that he can get one more NBA chance.
