CSKA Moscow is among the teams that will participate in the “Diamonds are Forever” tournament organized by Panathinaikos to honor its legendary captain Dimitris Diamantidis.
Viktor Khryapa, the captain of the 2016 Euroleague champions, put it quite simply when characterizing the legendary “3D”: “It is impossible to replace him. He was versatile, athletic, a fighter. An all-around player, always leading his team with good numbers, in scoring rebounds, assists, and playing great defense.”
“Diamonds are Forever” will be held in OAKA arena in Athens, on 16-17 of September with the participation of CSKA Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Barcelona and, of course, the tournament’s hosts Panathinaikos.
