A familiar name signed with Buducnost. The Podgorica club announced the addition with a one-year contract of experienced center Shawn James, former captain of Maccabi, who used to play for Bilbao, Olympiacos and Eskisehir Basket.
Playing in the jersey of famous Israeli club, Shawn won the Euroleague trophy in 2014. He was born in Guyana, but owns American citizenship. He played for two colleges in the NCAA League (Northeastern and Duquesne, while from 2008 he has been playing in Europe. He began his professional career in Bnei Hasharon, then continued at Maccabi Tel Aviv, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, Bilbao, Olympiacos and Eskisehir Basket.
Last season he averaged 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the Turkish national championship playing for Eskisehir Basket.
