For almost 40 minutes, Krunoslav Simon had 2/9 three-pointers, yet fired a downtown basket with two seconds to go, granting Olimpia Armani Milano an 80 – 78 victory over Tofas Bursa in a prep game that took place in Bormio, Italy.
Fresh out of the Olympic tournament with the Croatian basketball team, Simon finished the match with 14 points, as many as Ricky Hickman. Rakim Sanders was the top scorer of Milano with 16 points.
Kadir Bayram had 16 points for Tofas Bursa, with Sammy Mejia and Ronald Roberts adding 12 each.
Meanwhile in Austria, Brose Baskets had an easy task against local Swans Gmuden. Fabien Causeur contributed 12 points and 6 assists and Darius Miller added 12 points of his own.
