Reigning European champions CSKA had an easy win in their first friendly game for the upcoming season against Russian Superleague 1 champion, Sakhalin with 91-60.
For CSKA, Higgings scored 16 points, while Khryapa followed with 13 (6 as., 4 rebs.).

We thank Sakhalin for accepting our invitation. The main goal was to come out of the routine of having one practice after another and to play scrimmage game. Secondly, we wanted to see how some new things work. We saw some good and bad in this game. Now we move to the next stage of our preparation where we will play some serious exhibition games.
