Despite a very loose start which made him fall behind with a 16-point deficit (4-20), Panathinaikos ultimately subdued Kymi 92 – 59.
The qualitative difference between the teams is chaotic, of course, something which is portrayed in the final score. Nevertheless, coach Pedoulakis players reacted in an emphatic manner after their ugly beginning, cruising to the final victory.
Nikos Pappas led the Greens with 17 points while Giannis Bourousis added 14 and Nick Calathes dropped 12. In his debut with Panathinaikos, Chris Singleton scored 6 points.
For Kymi, Jordan Morgan was the top scorer with 15 points and Slaven Cupkovic had 13.
