Just two days after its first win over Galatasaray, Sassari prevailed again over the ambitious Turkish club, this time by 14 points (86-72) in one more pre-season game.
Once again Darius Johnson-Odom led the charge with 20 points, Brian Saccheti added 17 (photo) and the trio of Stipcevic, Carter and Savanovic scored 10 points each for the winning side as Sassari builds a pretty strong unit in order to compete also in the FIBA Champions League.
For Galatasaray Justin Dentmon had 18 points, while Austin Daye and Alex Tyus scored 15 points each. The hosts had a 24-14 lead after the end of the first quarter and didn’t lose it until the end. The newly aquired center Tibor Pleiss was not available for this game for the Euroleague competing Turkish team.
