After Darius Adams, who tweeted accusing Baskonia, his former team, of owing him money, now Errick McCollum is “firing shots” on Galatasaray for a similar matter.
McCollum re-tweeted Adams, writing “You aren’t alone homie! Smh #Gala”, heavily implying that he still hasn’t received some salaries from the Turkish club, with which he played in the previous season.
The 2016 Eurocup season MVP, and top scorer McCollum was one of the most most important players in Gala’s road towards winning the competition’s trophy.
Another ex player of the “Cimbom“, Gabonese center Stephane Lasme also commented on the whole thing with a simple “#truth”. Lasme was MVP in the 2016 Eurocup Finals with the Turkish team.
The issue with delayed payments is not something new or strange in the field of European basketball. Even though the vast majority of the clubs ultimately fulfill their financial obligations to their players, there is no shortage of complaints by the latter who are accusing their teams of not settling up with them on time.
