Once again, Tofas Bursa made a case of having the quality to aspire for something more than simply keeping their place in the Turkish Basketball Super League after they got promoted from the second division.
This time they showed their teeth against Anadolu Efes, which they defeated 78 – 74 victory in the GSA – Smart Casual Tournament 2016 of Antalya.
With a double-double consisted of 17 points and 11 rebounds, Jordan Hamilton paced the winners while Kaloyan Ivanov also scored 17 points of his own. Sammi Mejia added 14 points along with 4 assists and veteran Kaya Peker dropped 12.
Coach Velimir Perasovic was probably not happy at all seeing his players commit 24 turnovers in the game. The trio of Derrick Brown, Cedi Osman and Bryan Dunston scored 12 points each.
