Crvena Zvezda held its media day today and coach Dejan Radonjic was quite clear about his teams goals. While the Serbs will be part of Euroleague, they also need to defend the Adriatic League title in order to remain in the future part of the top European competition.
Radonjic explained: “ABA league is our priority. It is necessary to defend our title and it will be very difficult. The league is stronger, Cedevita has a serious opportunity, Mega Leks also has great potential and Partizan has a well-assembled team. Plus, we have our obligations in the even stronger Euroleague, with 30 games and very tight schedule”.
Meanwhile Zvezda is still in the market and the coach hopes that he will have soon a full roster: “In order to be competitive we need reinforcements, I hope as soon as possible, especially in the center position. We will try to find the best possible solution in accordance with the market”. The season starts for Zvezda on the 30th of September with the ABA league premier.
