With Melih Mahmutoglu bombarding the basket at will, Fenerbahce defeated a quite competitive Cedevita 88 – 77 in the “Zadar Dogus Basketball Tournament”.
The Turkish player began the match with 0/3 shots from behind the arc, but made 6/6 downtown baskets in the second half to help the Turkish champs reach victory.

Cedevita had been a thorn in Fener‘s side, making its life a bit difficult and being behind the score with only 2 points (43 – 41) at halftime. But then… Melih began doing business.
Mahmutoglu was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points, as many as James Nunnally. Kostas Sloukas had a pretty game of 16 points and 7 assists, while Ekpe Udoh added 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Quite the performance by Mirza Begic (18 points, 6 rebounds) for the Croatians, against one of Europe’s most powerful frontline squads. Marko Arapovic and Scotty Hopson scored 12 points each.
