After losing to Olympiacos on Friday, Crvena Zvezda returned to preseason victories by outplaying Hapoel Jerusalem 67 – 59 and completing its obligations in Crete with a positive result.
The game was close for almost 30 minutes and everything was showing that it would continue being like that until the end. But the players of Red Star had a different opinion on the matter.
An outburst from behind the arc, courtesy of Nikola Rebic, Marko Simonovic and Mario Guduric transformed the 45 – 47 into 57 – 50 in favor of the Serbian team, which never looked back after taking such a lead.
For one more game, Milko Bjelica was the top scorer of Crvena Zvezda with 21 points, while also grabbing 7 rebounds. Luka Mitrovic added 11 points plus 5 rebounds.
Curtis Jerrells (15 points) and Amare Stoudemire (11 points, 5 rebounds) scored in double digits for the Israelis.
