The first of the many Darussafaka Dogus vs Fenerbahce (or if you will… David Blatt vs Zeljko Obradovic) clashes that we are going to see during the upcoming season, took place in Zadar. Coach Blatt was the one to draw first blood vs Zoc, with his team winning 75 – 65.
Darussafaka entered the game with a 7-0 run and never lost sight of its lead until the final buzzer. The difference got even up to 17 points, 69 – 52 in the mid of the fourth quarter, before Fenerbahce once again decreased it a bit.
The trio of Bradley Wanamaker (14 points, 4 assists), Scottie Wilberkin (13 points, 8 assists) and James Anderson (11 points) shined from the winning side.
Ekpe Udoh wasn’t only the top performer of Fenerbahce with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds but also scored the first…. 3-pointer with the jersey of the Turkish team! Luigi Datome added 14 points and Bobby Dixon 13.
