Despite missing not one or two, or three but… four players (Juan Carlos Navarro, Tyrese Rice, Pau Ribas, Petteri Koponen) of its backcourt, due to all sorts of injuries, Barcelona didn’t only beat but dominated Badalona 78 – 52 for the Catalan League semifinal.
The Blaugrana heavily relied on their defense to get what they wanted but also on the splendid game of Marcus Eriksson. The 22-year old Swede scored 22 points in less than 18 minutes with solid shooting (1/3 2-pointers, 4/6 3-pointers, 8/8 from the line).
While Eriksson was showing to his coach that he can certainly rely on him, at least to some extent, for the upcoming season, Sasha Vezenkov also helped with his 12 points, while Justin Doellman added 9.
Alberto Abalde (14 points) and Luka Bogdanovic (11 points) were the only positive things that Badalona had to offer.
