Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Ironi Nahariya last night for the Israeli Winner Cup semifinals, but watched forward/center Itai Segev suffering an injury that will keep him sidelined for the first half of the season.
The 21-year old player of the “Yellows” hurt his foot in the very last minutes of the match and the diagnosis of his examination revealed that it got broken. He will be operated soon and expected to miss a period of around four months for his full recovery.
The club also made known that the hit which Sylven Landesberg received in the same game was not very serious and he is cleared to play in the Winner Cup final vs Hapoel Jerusalem on Saturday.
