After the two Sunday games of the VTB United league, Unics Kazan is back on the top with a 3-0 record over CSKA Moscow (2-0), while Zenit St. Petersburg also started its season with a win.
Unics dominated Enisey (0-2) in a 100-56 win with Keith Langford leading the charge and scoring 17 points in 17 minutes. The game was over at the first quarter with the hosts starting the game with a 29-15 lead and never losing a beat after that.
For Zenit the duo of Jannis Timas (20 p.) and Sergei Karasev (18 p.) proved too much even on the road over Tsmoki-Minsk (0-1) as the Russians got the 71-58 win in Belarus, despite 23 points by Dru Joyce.
