For many years, Bayern Munich was dreaming about Dirk Nowitzki closing his career with its jersey. Ηowever, according to the club icon Uli Hoeness even the idea of Dirk being an advisor is good enough.
“If Dirk is looking for a role as an advisor after his playing career is over, then he would be warmly welcomed,” Hoeness told German newspaper “Bild“, while ruling out Nowitzki lacing it up for Bayern: “We still couldn’t afford him (as a player) even if we used the entire 10m euros team budget. Maybe one day, when we have a really good team, we can stage a great game in the Allianz Arena, in front of 60,000 or 70,000 people. Maybe against the Chicago Bulls or whoeve. But before that we still have to get a little bit better.”
Bayern is starting its season in the Eurocup today.
