Giannis Antetokounmpo had his best pre-season game yet against the Pacers, but the Bucks were defeated 101-83. The Greek freak however had amazing numbers (20 p., 6 as., 5 r., 1 bl.) proving that he is ready for more.
Bosnian sharp shooter Mirza Teletovic added 3 points for the losing side, while French center Kevin Seraphin did not play for the Pacers.
In Orlanto the Spurs got the 95-89 win over the Magic as Spanish star Pau Gasol scored 14 points and also had 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian Davis Bertans added 3 points and French Livio Jean Charles had 2. For the losing side an other Frenchman, Evan Fournier, led all scorers with 20 points, Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic (7 p., 10 r.) and Spaniard Serge Ibaka (7 p., 3 r.) did their job in the paint and Croatian Damjan Rudez added 3 points.
In Beijing the Rockets beat the Pelicans 116-104 in a game during which Anthony David was injured. Despite his absence Turk center Omer Asik (2 p., 6 r.) and Frenchman Alexis Ajinca (7 p., 3 r.) couldn’t do much.
The Suns beat the Jazz (111-110) with Ukrainian center Alex Len (15 p., 7 r.) standing his ground against Frenchman Rudy Gobert (17 p., 8 r.) and veteran Boris Diaw adding 5 points and 2 rebounds.
Last but not least the Minnesota Timberwolves prevailed over Denver (105-88) with Spaniard Ricky Rubio (7 p., 8 r., 4 st.) and Serb Nemanja Bjelica (11 p., 4 r.) providing the European flavor. For the losing side an other Serb, Nikola Jokic had 11 points and 6 rebounds, Spaniard Willy Hernangomez added 2 points and 2 rebounds and Frenchman Axel Toupane had 11 points and 7 rebounds.
