Lietkabelis managed its second win in Eurocup after prevailing 76-80 in Zagreb against Cedevita. For the latter, this was its second loss, after surrendering to Gran Canaria last week.
For most part of the game, the Lithuanian team had the upper hand and even managed to lead by 11 points at halftime (37-48). It’s worth mentioning that the Lithuanian team had 19 turnovers and 23 rebounds, yet the Croatians couldn’t take advantage of their opponents’ weaknesses in defense.
For the winners, Ksistof Lavrinovic reached a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, as well as exceptional work in defense. The soon-to-be 37 years old big guy dominated without facing much struggle. Zygimantas Skucas had a fully productive night, leading his team with 22 points before being fouled out a few minutes before the end of the game.
For Cedevita, Miro Bilan scored 16 points, Toni Katic added 12 and Karlo Zganec 10, while Mirza Begic had 6.
