The best team in Europe right now, CSKA, is hosting Panathinaikos who are battered from the defeat in the Greek derby and without ArgyrisPedoulakis on the bench. The Russians can impose themselves on the “greens” very easily and by a wide margin, as they are in better shape, have more depth, are playing on their home court and at a pace that their opponents cannot keep up with. The visitors cannot keep the deficit under the 13,5-point handicap and it’s going to be very difficult to keep the Muscovites under 89,5 points (@Stoiximan 1,95). The home team’s easy win, however, by a margin bigger than 14,5 points (@OPAP 1,75) seems more possible.
The game is of “special circumstances” for non-competitive reasons. Galatasaray want to achievetheir first win in front of their fans, but despite their rich roster they are still not very convincing in their appearances. They want to get a victory that is going to serve as motivation for what will follow and the game with Crvena Zvezda offers the opportunity. The Serbs are winning comfortably in the Adriatic league being undefeated, they were defeated by Darussafaka at the end, and seem like they can fight for the games against opponents who are not much better. The 7,5-point handicap is big, but in Istanbul everything is possible.
On their home court, Zalgiris can get some positive results and be competitive against most teams. Like they demonstrated on the opening night at the Olympic Sports Center in Athensagainst Panathinaikos. Baskoniais the team that runs perhaps more than any other on the open court. Zalgiris are going to try to slow the tempo down, like they did atthe Olympic Sports Center, but against the Basques it’s going to be tough. The limit of the overall points is 157,5 (@Stoiximan 1,73) and Baskonia’s 77,5 (they’ve scored more in all games this year). Whichever of the two you pick, it’s worth it.
Barcelona –Fenerbahce
In the biggest derby of the day Barcelona are hosting Fenerbahce in a game that is expected to be close. The Catalans have won all their games narrowly this year and they lost from Bilbao. The absence of Ribas and Koponen has stripped the backcourt and Juan Carlos Navarro’s injury makes the problem even bigger. It’s going to be hard for GeorgiosBartzokas to find a way to fill the gap. Fenerbahce also haven’t made a big impression at the start of the season, but at least they have a full roster and in a game like this, the depth on the bench can make the difference. The Turks, then, can snatch the away win or lose by 2 points (@Bet365 1,90).
