Crvena Zvezda has announced the addition of 25 years old point guard Nate Wolters. The American player was a free agent and arrives to the Serbian team after having last played for Besiktas in Turkey the previous season.
Wolters was selected in the second round of the 2013 draft as the 38th overall pick by the Washington Wizards and was traded to Philadelphia 76ers on the same night. The next day, he was again traded, this time to the Milwaukee Bucks. In July of 2013, he joined the Bucks for the 2013 Summer League and then signed a contract with the team.
In 2015 he moved to the New Orleans Pelicans and then to Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA D-League. The same year, Wolters joined the Los Angeles Clippers for their Summer League. However, a fractured middle finger on his left hand ended his summer league stint early after appearing in just three games.
Moving overseas to Besiktas, he played in 21 Turkish league games, averaging 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
On September 15, 2016, the point guard signed with Denver Nuggets, but was waived on October 22 after appearing in 4 preseason games.
