With Milos Teodosic running his team’s offensive machine like the most perfectly well-oiled engine, CSKA Moscow easily beat Unics Kazan 98 – 80 for its fourth straight victory in the season. Unics is now on a 0-4 record… still searching to catch a break.
It all became more comfortable for the reigning champs in the second half, since thanks to Keith Langford’s actions, the team from Kazan had managed to stay close, 47 – 43 at halftime. The American superscorer made a new Euroleague career high with 36 (!) points on 10/19 from the field, but on the other side CSKA’s weapons were much more.
Through Teodosic’s leadership (16 points/10 assists), coach Itoudis’ players multiplied their scoring opportunities with Cory Higgins dropping 14 points, Nando De Colo 10, as many as Kyle Hines recorded.
CSKA established a double-digit lead, quickly in the third quarter and kept expanding it, even making it a 21-point game at the mid of the fourth period. Nothing that Unics could do in front of its opponents’ strength, at all.
