Just seconds after Sito Alonso confirmed it during the press conference after the game against Olympiacos, Baskonia officially announced the addition of American forward Chase Budinger.

Budinger, 28, had just been waived by the Brooklyn Nets before the beginning of the season after signing a short term contract with them. He spent the 2016-2017 playing for the Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns averaging 4.4 and 3.2 points for each team respectively.

A small forward who can be utilized as a “4” in Europe, Budinger will make his overseas debut with Baskonia since he has previously spent the entirety of his career in the NBA.
