The Turkish Basketball Federation announced that it has appointed former national team player Omer Onan at the position of the General Coordinator.
Onan had been a player of the Turkish national team for more than a decade and he was present in the successful ventures during the Eurobasket 2001 and 2010 World Cup, where his country won silver medal.
Thus it’s s not surprising that the Turkish Basketball Federation hails the new general coordinator in its official announcement as a “precious figure of our basketball scene”.
In order to assume his new duties, Onan left his position as a team manager of Fenerbahce, sending a letter of thanks to the club for their cooperation.
