Barcelona got an important road win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the game marked by the return of Tyrese Rice in the city he was loved. Still Rice didn’t show any mercy and with 21 points led Barca to the 79-69 road triumph.
After a close first half, which ended with Barcelona having a 6 points lead (40-34), the hosts just couldn’t keep up as the team of coach Giorgos Bartzokas ended the third quarter with a double digits advantage (58-47). The Spaniards led even by 20 (69-49) and even with Maccabi making it a six points game (75-69) with one minute left, Barcelona knew how to close the game the right way.
Rice had also 3 assists and 2 steals, Joey Dorsey added a double double (11 p., 11 r.), Petteri Koponen proved that he is ready to go after his injury with 14 points and the duo of Aleksandar Vezenkov and Stratos Perperoglou added 9 crucial points each.
For Maccabi Tel Aviv the duo of Andrew Goudelock (19 p.) and Devin Smith (18 p.) tried to save the day, but nobody else gave them a real helping hand.
