No rest for Zalgiris as they met Juventus on the road in 10th round of the Lithuanian league. After a homecourt loss to Darussafaka, the trip to Utena was refreshing, as the team from Kaunas escaped with a 66-90 win.
The beginning was tough for the visitors who were down by 3 points after the first quarter (20-17), though Isaiah Hartenstein’s 12 points in just 7 minutes put Zalgiris ahead 39 – 48 at halftime.
Zalgiris finished the third quarter with a with a 12 – 0 run and led 68-57 after 30 minutes. In the final period of the game, the hosts ran out of energy, allowing Zalgiris to easily prevail.
Paulius Jankunas scored 14 points, Brock Motum added 13 and the two led the way to this road win. Zalgiris remain on top of the LKL league with a 9-1 record, followed by Lietkabelis (8-2) and Lietuvos Rytas (7-3).
