Panathinaikos is looking to acquire another playmaker with the addition of Marko Popovic, yet the case seems to be difficult.
Popovic’s current team, Fuenlabrada, is asking for 200.000 euros in order to let the player go according to journalist Ignacio Ojeda, an amount of money that Panathinaikos isn’t willing to give for the player. The Greens have offered 100.000 euros to the Spanish club.
According to Ojeda, Marko Popovic is in talks with his current team and pressing for his release in order to move to Greece, though the money factor remains the main issue.
The case is tough for the Greek team, as Popovic is among Fuenlabrada’s best players and the club won’t settle for less money.
Panathinaikos has also contacted the player’s manager, offering him 300.000 both for the player and the team.
