Thanks to a particularly tight defensive output, Valencia took its third consecutive win in Eurocup passing victorious 74 – 63 from Krasnodar against Lokomotiv.
While the hosts managed to hold a narrow 34-33 lead at the end of the first half, their opponents played an excellent third quarter, in which they outscored the Russian team 13 – 21 to assume control of the match.
Loko approached once again, making it 61 – 63 with four minutes to go, but here came a 0 – 7 run by Valencia to decide the final outcome.
Will Thomas’ double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) paced the winners, while Taylor Rochestie (23 points) stood out for Lokomotiv which now have a 1 – 3 record.
