Barcelona pulled off an easy win against Murcia with 83-99 and improved to 6-1 in the Spanish league, while the latter stands at 2-6.
In the first half, the hosts managed to be alert, not letting Barcelona impose its game. After the first 10 minutes, the score was 20-21 in the Blaugranas’ favor. In the second period, the visitors improved their shooting efficiency and managed to stay up 34-41 at halftime.
After the break, Barcelona expanded the lead to 19 points (41-60 at 26′), with Petteri Koponen, Ante Tomic and Tyrese Rice scoring in double digits by then. After 30 minutes, the score was 56-75.
Halfway through the final period, Murcia reduced the deficit to 10 points, though the visitors’ reaction was quick and didn’t allow a comeback.
For the winners, Rice and Koponen shared 23 points each, while for Murcia Facu Campazzo had 24.
