Maccabi Tel Aviv suffered a tough loss at home against Bnei Herzliya with 82–84 in the sixth week of the Israeli league. Not only that but Herzliya also broke the hosts’ record, forcing them to their first loss of the season (5–1).

The visitors were up 3(!)–24 after 7 minutes in the game and were in charge throughout it. Halfway through the second period, the hosts lost Colton Iverson for a little while, as he suffered an ankle injury and things started getting tougher for the 2014 Euroleague champions.

In the final period of the game, Rami Hadar’s team reduced the deficit to 7 points (67–74) at 34′, then to as close as 1 point in the final seconds, though Herzliya stood strong until the end.

For the winners, Jeff Adrien scored 20 points, Taurean Green had 18 and Karam Mashour 16. For Maccabi, DJ Seeley and Andrew Goudelock shared 13 points
