Panathinaikos resumed its obligations for the Greek League with a 80 – 65 victory over Kolossos Rhodes thanks to Giannis Bourousis’ dominance inside the paint. The Greens continue holding second place, with a 5-1 record.
Bourousis scored 19 points (16 of them in the first half), grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in the 23 minutes he spent on the floor while Nikos Pappas added 12 points and 8 rebounds of his own.
Kolossos (2-4 record now) was always behind the score managing to keep up a bit only for the first half (40 – 32). Yet after the halftime break, the hosts imposed their rule, establishing and preserving a lead way over simply double-digit numbers.
Panagiotis Vassilopoulos and Giannis Georgalis dropped 13 points each for the losing side.
