American wing Ricky Ledo may be a European basketball rookie but is making a serious buzz with his performances in the Turkish Basketball Super League wearing the jersey of Yesilgiresun. And tonight, he catapulted the noise of his game to extreme new heights.

How? Well by not simply recording a career-high in points in the 82 – 67 victory over Istanbul Buyuksehir, but also registering the top offensive performance by any player in this season’s Turkish League. Ledo dropped 42 points (5/9 two-pointers, 7/13 from downtown, 11/12 f.t.) helping his team take its fifth win in seven games.

It’s no a small feat, since Yesilgiresun is compiled mostly of young Turkish players and has only four foreign guys in its roster: Rasid Mahalbasic, Anthony Gill, Malcolm Armstead and Ricky Ledo.

The latter’s output has been exceptional, despite the fact that he’s balling overseas for the first time in his career. So far he has averaged 19.2 points per game, being a “leader figure” of this young group of players, even though he’s just 24 years old himself.
