In the 10th week of the ABA league, Crvena Zvezda showed no mercy against Karpos Sokoli and prevailed 91-70 at home. With this new win, the Serbian team enjoys the top of the league’s standings.
The visitors put pressure on Zvezda early on, leading 14-15 after the first 10 minutes and even expanded their lead in the second period to 19-27 before a reaction from the Red and Whites. At halftime, the score was even at 36 points.
Crvena Zvezda entered the second half more prepared, yet the third period was equally difficult. It wasn’t until 28′ when the hosts could grab a hold of the game. After 30 minutes, the score was 58-52.
Things became easier as Zvezda pressed on the defensive end in the final period and with some offensive outbreaks they sealed the win.
Milko Bjelica and Marko Simonovic led the winners with 21 points each.
