James Gist is already in the US and he had surgery on his left leg today. While Panathinaikos is waiting for Kenny Gabriel, Gist is expected to return on the courts at 2017.
The best case scenario for him is an absence from 8 to 10 weeks after the injury he suffered in the Euroleague game against Real Madrid.
His absence is a huge problem for the Greens and that’s why Gabriel was added in the roster, still Gist is a key member of the team and in Athens they are waiting for him.
However, as you can see in his instagram account, Gist is still smiling. “Smile… It’s easier. Always find light in situations. No matter what it is”, was the message he wrote before the start of the operation.
