Olympiacos beat AEK at home with 78-67 and now enjoys the top spot of the Greek league after remaining unbeaten for 8 weeks. The visiting team dropped to 7-1.
With Georgios Printezis emerging in the first half, the home team could easily dominate in and around the paint. After the first 10 minutes, Olympiacos was up 26–16. AEK tried to reduce the deficit in the second period, though kept following throughout it. Dixon made it a 7–point game at 18′ and the halftime score was 43–34.
In the third period, the hosts outnumbered their rivals in scoring and could easily keep a safe 65-46 lead after 30 minutes.
Matt Lojeski led the winners with 17 points, Khem Birch and Georgios Printezis shared 12 points each, while Vassilis Spanoulis almost reached a double double with 10 points and 9 assists.
For AEK, Dussan Sakota and Roko Ukic added 14 points each, while the former also contributed 7 rebounds. Kostas Vaseiliadis and Mike Dixon followed with 11 and 10 points each.
