Barcelona has announced the addition of Alex Renfroe as a reinforcement after Pau Ribas’ injury. As Eurohoops earlier reported, the two sides have had an agreement and the official statement was to be announced.
The now ex Bayern player is the perfect deal for the Blaugranas, as he doesn’t only fit the criteria of coach Giorgos Bartzokas but also doesn’t occupy a foreign player’s spot in the roster, since he owns a Bosnian passport.
Rodrigo de la Fuente, sporting manager of Barcelona says Renfroe is “a player who meets the profile we are looking for and has evolved a lot throughout his career. He understands the game and can contribute during moments when the team needs it”.
De la Fuente also explains that he “is a player who is intelligent and capable of adding other facets such as assists and rebounds. He knows the competition well and arrives in good form to join the team”.
