Nick Johnson scored the last four points of the game and finished with 20 overall, as Bayern Munich beat Unicaja Malaga 72 – 69 in “Audi Dome” arena.
It was a fascinating match, despite the fact that both teams had been already qualified to the Eurocup Top 16, with the two squads having numerous ups and downs in their performances and Malaga having the lead at halftime (37 – 38).
Bayern Munich assumed a small control in the second half, but the Andalusians got dangerous near the end. Ultimately, with 28 seconds to go and the score 68 – 69, Johnson was the one to decide the final result with a basket plus a 2/2 from the line that sealed the fate of the game in favor of the Bavarians.
Bryce Taylor was the only other Bayern Munich player to score in double-digits, finishing the game with 10. From Malaga, Jamar Smith dropped 13 and Kyle Fogg 12.
