Unics Kazan got a great 100-79 win over naive EA7 Emporio Armani Milano which put the Italians into trouble. Behind 25 points by Keith Langford the hosts got their third win of the season and pushed Milan away from the first eight spots of the standings.
The guests had made it a four points game at the end of the third quarter (73-69), but the partial score in the last period was 27-10 and that says everything you need to know about the game. Vadim Panin scored 18 points, Arstiom Parakhouski had 16 on 8/9 field goals and Quino Colom dished 12 assists.
Jame McLean with 16 points was the top scorer of Milano, which was missing injured Alessandro Gentile and Ricky Hickman scored 12, 10 of them in the third period when his team reacted after trailing 57-43 at half time.
Unics which scored until this game 78 points per game, found the way to 100 and the defense of Milano was almost non existent. The hosts dominated the boards (38-23) and newcomer Peter Stoll scored 6 points in his Euroleague debut.
