Fenerbahce fell to Tofas on the road in Day 9 of the Turkish league with 81-72. This was the second loss for Zeljko Obradovic’s team for the season, making their record 7-2, while Tofas managed to improve to 3-6.
Tony Crocker led Tofas with 17 points, Vasilije Micic followed with 15, then Samuel Jose Mejia and Ronald Roberts scored 12 each.
For Fenerbahce, Jan Vesely’s notable contribution of 18 points wasn’t enough. Luigi Datome stopped at 16 and Kostas Sloukas added 14 points for their team.
Using its homecourt advantage, Tofas was dominant throughout the game, while Fenerbahce followed, unable to accelerate. The hosts even kept a double digit lead at halftime, with 48-38. Halfway through the final period, the hosts tried to make their comeback after dropping the deficit to 8 points, though it wasn’t possible to turn the tables in the end.
