Behind 20 points by Kyle Kuric and thanks to a 27-11 partial score in the third quarter, Gran Canaria got the easy 92-73 Eurocup win on the road against Litekabelis Panevezys.
With both teams already qualified for the Top15, pride was the only prize on the line and the Spaniards got it. Royce O’Neale added 13 points and Darko Planinic had 12.
Ksystof Lavrinovic with 20 points did his best for the hosts, Ben Magden added 14 but those numbers don’t tell anything about the third quarter, during which a two points game (45-43) ended up being a blow out win for the guests. The second half started with a 19-2 run (64-45) by Gran Canaria and the Spaniards never looked back.
