Zalgiris Kaunas escaped with the win from Klaipeda and utterly dominated Neptunas 95 – 64! Led by Edgaras Ulanovas’ 19 points, the visitors improved their record to 14-1 in the Lithuanian league standings, leaving Neptunas at 8-7 after 15 weeks of action!
Motum hit two three pointers in the last minutes of the first quarter to give Zalgiris a short 24 – 19 lead after 10 minutes, though Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team exploded from the second quarter on. The visitors put on a 3-pointer contest, grabbing a double digit lead in the second period and even expanded to 31 points by the end of the game.
Zalgiris remains on top of the league, while Lietkabelis follows in the second place with a 12-3 record and Lietuvos rytas in the third with 11-4.
