The Memphis Grizzlies completed the previous week beating every team they faced with none other than Marc Gasol spearheading their efforts. Not surprising that the Spaniard was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time in his career after early 2012.

Gasol averaged 27.3 points, 10 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks in 36.5 minutes per game, while shooting 50% from the field and a sweet 47% from downtown. Impressive.

The leadership provided by the Spanish big guy allowed the Grizzlies to defeat the the New Orleans Pelicans (110-108), the Philadelphia 76ers (96 – 91), the Portland Trail Blazers (88 – 86) and the Golden State Warriors (110-89).

During the week, he also dropped a 36-point season high (vs the Blazers), which is the third highest single game scoring performance of his career.

Let’s have a look at some of his exploits.
